This weekend I turned my back on Scranton for a few hours and hit the Metropolitan Pavillion for the BUST! magazine Holiday Craftacular. It was pretty weird seeing in person (in object?) so many of the things I've stalked on the interweb. Two women whose work I had not virtually stumbled upon blew my mind. Kim Westad's work uses my favorite thing, lots of dots! And I love the simplicity of her rounded forms and simple white with bold colors. Lois Aronow's work makes me want to curl up with a hot toddy in one of her mugs and run my hands over the variations between her contrasting textures. Check out their websites www.kimwestad.com and www.loisaronow.com
my hot toddy recipe:
- a cup of tea - I recommend plain tea, no funky flavors.
- a healthy shot of your favorite whiskey. (jack daniels for me - but I think a proper hot toddy is rock and rye but um, what is that exactly?)
- a squeeze of honey
- squeeze of lemon.
