So I got all excited to blog here and then the corporate commission called and said they needed their 4500 pieces six weeks sooner than originally stated in the contract. With all the fuss about banks and bail outs and what not I thought it best to keep my artist mouth shut and just nod and say yes and then figure out how to make a day have more hours in it. I had to let go of certain activities - most fun internet stuff being one, fun being another. I opted to include teeth brushing and a little sleep. It was not that dramatic. But it was not NOT that dramatic -one of the kilns broke in the last week and my dad had emergency surgery! . Anna and Alex, my previously mentioned assistants pulled extra hours whenever they could and put up with my endless counting and recounting. My dad pulled through and finishing just took twice as long with just one kiln. Nazy, Mike and Chrissy stopped by to help package everything and in the end, we can say that we made 4500 pieces in six months.
now back to my regularly scheduled programming.
And to the left is Smacky Maine Coon on top of one of the kilns.
